Human-Environment Dichotomy
'Air'
Cairo Expo Pavilion 2030
5th settlement, new cairo
Designing Cairo Expo Pavilion entailed a thematic approach to the design process, exploring the main theme of the human-environment dichotomy in particular its sub-theme ‘Air’. A statement was formulated to act as a guide throughout the development of the project, and experiential models were the primary main tools for expression. The thoughts progressed steadily adding each time a set of additional layers of complexity and depth, which were developed into structural models. Moving towards a more structured realistic project, structural models changed from conceptual translations of ideas into functional spaces, strong structures and comprehensive experiments.
